Project Description

FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers were used in place of wire mesh to reinforce the warehouse floor in the new Zeka Flour production plant in Hopwood, PA. A dosage of 4.0 lb/cu yd was used in this 700 yd construction. Using fibers allowed for a quicker scheduled turnaround time since contractors did not have to take time to lay and place mesh reinforcements. Using FORTA-FERRO fibers also lowered the overall cost of the project. This was the contractors first time using fibers and he is now a big supporter of FORTA-FERRO.
