Project Description
Webasto, an OEM for Automotive Supply, specified fibers to reinforce a new warehouse floor in Plymouth, MI. FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers were used at a dosage of 3.0 lb/cu yd in this 5,800 cu yd slab and eliminated wire mesh that would have needed to be used to reinforce the concrete. Using fibers increased the durability of the project and gave a tougher surface area for this type of warehouse floor which supports heavy low volume traffic. Albanelli Cement Contractors were used for this high-profile job in the Automotive Industry and, “use FORTA-FERRO every opportunity they can.”
