Project Description
The Wayne Township Landfill poured a new high traffic pavement parking lot reinforced with FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers. The fiber dosage of 5.0 lb/cu yd allowed contractors to replace the rebar in this project totaling 300 yds. This sped up the total project time and lowered the end cost. Using FORTA-FERRO fibers will add long term durability and toughness necessary for this pavement to withstand the weight of the garbage trucks over the years. Adding FORTA-FERRO fibers also gave the slab a better wearing surface.
