Project Description
Owner, Synergy Development in Sandy, Utah, utilized FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fiber in this newly constructed warehouse floor, to provide the premium architectural effect required. Stout Building Contractors optimized joint spacing to diminish the reflection cast on tilt-up wall panels. Not only did this reduce the reflection on the architectural finish, but it also reduced labor required to fill the joints, saving both time and money. Slabs were jointed at 60’7” x 53’, 60’ x 38’8”, and 56’ x 39’4” without panel cracking outside of joints. This project also set the Utah state record for single slab pour using 1,850 cubic yards of concrete.
