Station Square – Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh, PA - 2018

Project Description

The owner of The Glass House is construcing a 319 unit appartment building in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. Pittsburgh was know as the glass capital of the United States at the turn of the 20th century, so an all glass appartment building in the heart of the city is a nod to that local history. Although this construction is comprised of mostly glass with beautiful 360 degree views, FORTA-FERRO fibers will be used in the concrete floor of this building. The total project size is 610 cu yds and used 2,440 lb of 2 1/4 in FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers. Not only will using fibers allow the contractor to save two days in their schedule, but will allow them to save money in the future.
