Project Description
Dye Aviation, the architect of this newly constructed private jet hangar at Fulton County Airport, specified a FORTA-FERRO macro-synthetic fiber dosage of 7.5 lb/cu yd as the reinforcement for the hangar slab. Dye Aviation is very familiar with the many benefits of FORTA-FERRO having used it for the first time over 10 years ago, where a 7.5 lb/cu yd dosage replaced 2 layers of #4 rebar on 12-inch centers. They have specified FORTA-FERRO in every hangar slab since then due to cost savings, less set-up time and safer work environment as compared to using conventional rebar reinforcement, as well as attaining a slab with less cracking and a very durable surface. In addition, Dye Aviation has found that because of the superior finishing capabilities of FORTA-FERRO, they are able to opt for a polished floor instead of the conventional epoxy coating system as the final finish. This long-standing relationship within the aviation market sector proves the value of FORTA-FERRO
A superior broom finish was achieved thanks to FORTA-FERRO being the best mixing and finishing fiber of its kind in the industry.
