Project Description
The general contractor for this project would typically use steel fiber reinforcement at a dosage of 35 lbs. / cu. yd. of concrete. Due to the advantages that macro synthetic fibers provide, the concrete contractor suggested the use of macro synthetic fiber over steel fiber reinforcement. The engineer chose to use FORTAFERRO® at 4.0 lbs. / cu. yd. Utilizing FORTA-FERRO® provided
cost savings and a superior finish over steel fibers.
