Project Description
A large food processing company in Hermitage, PA specified FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers to reinforce a large concrete slab being placed in its new manufacturing facility. This project replaced the originally specified steel with a fiber dosage of 4.0 lb/cu yd, saving them time and money while significantly reducing curling. The expansion will primarily provide a smooth, flat, durable floor for a variety of heavy production line machinery. By replacing steel with fiber, the project was completed sooner, with production starting ahead of schedule. In the end, customers, employees, and their bottom line will benefit from choosing fiber.
