Project Description
FORTA-FERRO® was recently selected as a reinforcement material to be included in pavement and repair trials at the Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta, GA. Original project specifications called for 85 pounds of steel fibers per cubic yard. However, FORTA-FERRO® was included in pre-project trials as an easy-to-handle and cost-effective alternative. The project included a major concrete spall repair areas on taxiways M-14 and N-5 as well as various intersection upgrades. FORTA-FERRO® was utilized at a dosage rate of 10 lbs. / cu. yd. in this high-cement content, rapid setting mix design.
