Having used FORTA macro synthetic fibers on previous industrial projects, Forsyth Building Company knows the importance of using high-quality materials. That is why the owner specified FORTA-FERRO reinforcement fibers in the newly constructed concrete pavement for their corporate office. This 6-inch thick, 3500 psi area used a fiber dosage of 3.0 lb/cu yd that will increase
fatigue resistance and concrete toughness. The use of FORTA reinforcement fibers eliminated all unloading, storing, cutting, tying and chairing that is required with installation of wire mesh or rebar. This not only provided a cleaner, safer work environment, but also allowed easy access to the pouring area so that the concrete could be tailgated. The contractors had no issues applying a superior broom finish to the pavement surface.
