Description
FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers replaced 6×6 wire mesh and #6 rebar in this warehouse expansion in Northampton, Pennsylvania. The original portion of this building used traditional steel reinforcements and owners wanted a more durable expansion. The contractor used FORTA-FERRO reinforcement fibers to add toughness to this slab-on-ground and exterior pavement application at a dosage of 3.0 & 5.0 lb/cu yd. Eliminating costly and cumbersome steel reinforcements allowed contractors to adhere to a strict project schedule.
