Project Description
The Family Resource Center replaced its originally specified steel with macro synthetic FORTA-FERRO fibers in a new construction in Franklin, PA. The total project was 80 cu yd and required a
dosage of 3.0 lb/cu yd of macro synthetic FORTA-FERRO fibers. This was a typical slab-on-ground construction with a wood frame building on top, showing that macro fibers can be a useful tool for smaller concrete contractors as well. The fibers in this project allowed the contractor to save a full day of placing and tying steel, as well as making this project more profitable now and in the future.
