Project Description
A large discount supermarket chain specified FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers be used in an ongoing project in Springfield, OH. This job consists of completely replacing the entire parking
lot and loading area. The total size of these slab-on-ground projects are 4,200 cu yd and the contractor used a dosage of 7.5 lb/cu yd of FORTA-FERRO fibers. The owners chose fibers to reinforce their concrete to add surface durability and help aid in cracking because of all the high-volume traffic coming and going with pickups and deliveries. In the end, the contractors noted, “FORTA-FERRO was extremely workable when they were doing the finish.”
