Compass Homes is leading the way in the construction of timber and concrete homes in New Zealand. New Zealand has been making concrete slabs for homes for decades, however, previous versions have created leaky homes and have had poor heat retention. After attending a tradeshow, the slab director brought back the concept of a Concrete Insulated System (CIS), which combines insulating concrete slabs to improve energy efficiency. By using FORTA-FERRO®, Compass Homes is creating durable, long lasting concrete slabs that will improve the overall longevity. The owner and suppliers were pleased with the ease of installment that came with using FORTA-FERRO® .
