Description
A new slab-on-ground was constructed for the lower level of a new multi-story parking deck for the corporate office of a successful chicken sandwich fast food chain in College Park, GA. The engineer on this project specified FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers at a dosage of 7.5 lb/cu yd as the only choice to reinforce this concrete application. FORTA-FERRO will add durability and toughness to the slab while decreasing cracking potential and curling stresses. In addition, fibers are non-corrosive and easier to use than steel rebar. The ready mixer used 100% manufactured sand for this project and was very happy with the superior broom finish.
