Project Description
Carolina Concrete Company has seen firsthand the benefits of using FORTA-FERRO® in various projects in an attempt to replace steel reinforcement. For this project, FORTA-FERRO® replaced #5 steel at 16” in an 8” slab. A major advantage that Carolina Concrete Company and Ace Avant saw was the decrease in time needed to complete the project, saving time and money. FORTA-FERRO® eliminated the need to place steel rebar which improved job site safety. The project engineers and contractors were very impressed by the fibers and they said they will use it in their next job!
