Rossford School – Rossford, OH

This multi-story educational building saved $50,000 by replacing specified wire mesh and rebar with FORTA-FERRO® reinforcement fibers. With the use of these fibers, they were able to eliminate the tedious job of storing and placing wire mesh and/or rebar while still providing maximum long-term durability, structural enhancements, and effective secondary/temperature crack control. Rossford School used macro synthetic fibers at a dosage of 5.0 lb cu/yd in the slab-on-ground application and 4.0 lb/cu yd to reinforce the slab-on-metal-deck during this resurfacing project. By using FORTA-FERRO, the contractor developed a safer working environment. FORTA-FERRO’s non corrosive properties allows for the Rossford School to be a durable project for many years.
