Project Description
An automobile manufacturer located in Sterling Heights, MI chose FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers for a slab-on-ground project in their plant. The area this project covered is the final inspection point for one of their popular models before it goes to dealerships to be sold. The project utilized 1,800 cu yd of concrete at 4.0 lb/cu yd for a total of 7,200 lb of fiber. They chose FORTA-FERRO fibers because they were looking for speed of construction as well as ease of use. In addition to being extremely pleased with how the floor finished, the contractor hopes to keep quoting additional jobs using FORTA-FERRO in the future.
