Ameriport Business Park – Baytown, TX

Baytown, TX - August 2020

Description

A Thin Concrete Pavement (TCP) design was used for the new Ameriport Business Park in Baytown, TX. This optimized pavement design, with 15+ years of proven performance in the South American market, was introduced to the US & Canadian markets in 2017. It provided National Property Holdings with a heavy-duty concrete pavement that was significantly more cost-effective than the pavement system they had traditionally been using, it will also provide them with a longer-lasting, light-reflective, and more durable pavement, requiring less maintenance. This project used 5.5” thick concrete, reinforced with 4.0 lb/cu yd of FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers, and has a 6ft x 6ft jointing pattern. This pavement was designed & analyzed using TCPavements OptiPave2 software and offered by way of PNA’s Design-Build Pavement system. This pavement was used for the loading docks, drive lanes, parking areas for tractor-trailer trucks, as well as a 4.0-inch section for auto parking.
